What can you say about Caregivers?

September 17, 2009
Professional caregivers are known to be those people who take care of other people's relatives, parents, elderly or people with disability for a fee. Here's one nice definition that I found from Wikipedia:
Someone whose life is in some way restricted by the need to be responsible for the care of someone who is mentally ill, mentally handicapped, physically disabled or whose health is impaired by sickness or old age.”
Baroness Pitkeathley It's my Duty Isn't it? (1989)

Another one quotation that I found very inspiring for the definition of caregivers is from a testimonial of a client in a home care institution. Here's what the quote says:
"Our prescription for the good life is a chicken in every pot, a car in every garage, and a loving caregiver in every heart." - Bev from PHCSI, Inc.
Now what can you say about them? Share your thoughts about caregivers so that others will know about it. Leave your comments below.

World Differs in Health Care System

August 20, 2009
I found out today that still a lot of progressive countries can not make a perfect health care system for their constituents. US for example are still struggling to make reforms in their system to provide an increase access to the said benefits. I wonder if the senior citizen are provided enough health care and caregivers that will help and assist them with the rest of their remaining life. Here's a part of the news from Reuters, opening a topic regarding health care systems of different big countries in the world:
Transatlantic mud-slinging over health care conceals a simple reality that no country has yet a found a perfect system for helping the sick.

U.S. critics of healthcare reform point to Europe as an example of why they oppose President Barack Obama's fight to rein in costs, constrain insurance companies and expand health cover to most of the 46 million Americans who are uninsured.

Although Obama has never proposed a system akin to Britain's, where a single payer -- in this case the government's National Health Service (NHS) -- picks up the cost, critics have been cranking out broadcast advertisements painting European systems as expensive socialized medicine which rations both care and lives.

It is true that Americans trawling Europe's differing forms of universal care for tips on overhauling their system will pick up plenty of gripes from patients and doctors.

Yet Europeans still show overwhelming support for the principles underpinning the continent's various programs of mandatory coverage, first pioneered by Germany's Iron Chancellor Otto von Bismarck more than a century ago.

"There is no perfect health system," said Anna Dixon, director of policy at Britain's independent healthcare think-tank The King's Fund. "Most health systems are trying to reach the same objectives, but we all do it in different ways, and part of that is to do with our history." - Read the rest of the story HERE.

The Old Idea: Prevention is Better than Cure

May 27, 2009
eriuqs spires healthy recreation"Health is wealth" as always the saying says. That is why the old idea is better than always which is "Prevention is better than cure." Diseases today, of any nature, acquired nor due to the change of climate and the body can't adapt, is better to be prevented than cure. Like the A(H1N1) influenza virus, it is better deal earlier by having a vaccine of the virus rather than waiting for the infection to come and be treated by the hospital which will both cost you a lot of money and the recovery is hard to tell. That's the reason today, people should focus on their health. Improving the immune system and changing the lifestyle to adapt to the current vulnerabilities of the body system to any kind of diseases, biological or not, is the best thing to do. Aside from that being sick means bigger expense. This post is made possible because of "eriuqs spires healthy recreation" concept which is an event that promotes healthy living.

Here are the things that you can do to increase the immune system of your body and prevent some diseases to attack you:
  1. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. A good source of different kinds of vitamins and minerals that boost the immune system. Fresh fruits and vegies are best compared to multi-vitamins that is bought over the counter. These natural foods usually contains a mix of immune booster elements, anti-oxidants and natural fibers that promotes healthy digestion.
  2. Exercise regularly. Move! Eating healthy food is not enough. You should move your body and pump those toxics out of your body.
  3. Have a positive outlook in life. If you feel good, usually you will look good. Healthy mind always means a healthy body.
  4. Avoid anything that is too much. Remember too much is always a poison.
How about you, what is your idea of a healthy living? Do you agree with the idea presented on this post related to eriuqs spires healthy recreation post? Drop your comments here.

Don't Panic! Swine Flu A(H1N1 Strain) is Here

May 25, 2009
That's right! Last Thursday, the Department of Health (DOH) in the Philippines announced the first ever case of swine flu A(H1N1 virus) case in the country and it was a girl from US who happened to have gone to Canada too, who brings the first record of the said infection. But don't panic, the girl and the people that is suspected to have a close contact on the person where quarantined and brought into careful observations so it can't spread yet. This health case today that is experienced by the whole world is quite giving trouble and worries to a lot of people. It is because several cases of this disease already brings several deaths.

Maybe some of you is thinking, "What if I got infected? What will happen to me? Is it the end of the world for me?" If you got infected and shows the symptoms of the disease, there is still hope because of the availability of the vaccine. Of course it is better to prevent the infection rather than the cure, as always, the best actually. However, worries and paranoia sometimes is the "great killer" of all and it will really not help. People should be vigilant instead and be careful.

Prayers can be very helpful in this situation and my number one recommendation for all to do in this time. - eriuqs spires healthy recreation

April 18, 2009
Every person is different from other person. Even in preferences in hobbies or recreational activities, people have different interests. This post will discuss about a series of eriuqs spires healthy recreation, its definition and detailed relation with my personal amusements, plain leisure and health involving the real estate The Spires located at Red Lodge, Montana.

eriuqs spires healthy recreationEriuqs spires healthy recreation is a series of activities recommended by Heart Rate Watch Company and Spires at Red Lodge that is composed of different tasks that involves physical effort to perform on the place called "The Spires" at Montana. The purpose of the said recreation is not only for pure amusements or mere fun but also focus on the overall healthy features of the individual that is part of it. Some of the said tasks recommended by Eriuqs was mountain biking, fishing and skiing in Red Lodge, Montana's real estate called "The Spires". I usually just want to play chess in silent environment like those as shown on the picture but this only cost me to exercise the upper part of my overall being (specifically the brain part). That's why now, I am considering to follow every steps mentioned on the said recreational program.

Well, I think its about time for me to be concerned with my overall health and try to perform different healthy recreation in "The Spires" on Eriuqs style. I think I need this and I am taking this seriously right now.
