When I read about the news on Genzpad.com regarding the suicide of a big name in the country, I was really shock about it. How come a strong guy who undergone several challenges and break several obstacles during his life commit such thing. I am not judging but I believe that there's other way to face the pressures given to him. He should at least come clean and try to be part of the CHANGE that we are hoping for the country. However, I guess he believes that ending his life will end it all. But I think he's wrong about it. What do you think his family will think about it. Its ok that he died because he so old or killed as a hero but not like this.

There's more to life even his old already. Well, it just can't be undone. If someone ends his life, he just can't do about it but he just left something behind and that is sorrows ad pain for his loved ones. I am really feeling sorry about what happen and I hope that things goes right after this. I am still hopeful about the situation of the country. I should!

Guys I am back again in one piece! After I apply for reconsideration the other month, the pagerank that lost on the last update came back. My PageRank 3 is back and I am really glad that it happens. Despite, some of my "nice posts" weren't back yet on its proper ranking, I am still happy that Google consider the site. Now, I am planning to discuss other topics here for 2010 like the following theme or topic:

1. About Filipino traditions and culture - I know that I made already a "sikat ang pinoy" portal the other year which can be found at http://www.laganap.com but I still want to write something here in English of course so that I could spread the good words about my countrymen.

2. Latest games from Facebook - I've been blogging it for quite a while now specially the popular Farmville but I like to update it with the newest and no players yet games. I will research for it later and will post some of the information about them.

3. Car Tips - I am acquiring a new car (Toyota Vios 1.5s) and I am still practicing my driving skills so I decide to blog about my experience about it later.

4. My Favorite TV Series - I like watching them and I am planning to feature it here too but I am still thinking if I could still provide time for it.

Now that will be enough for now, I will still include more random stuff here later.

I have called PLDT 24/7 171/172 customer service / DSL helpdesk and for about 10-20 minutes (in several call attempt) I have heard these lines and really annoyed by this. Imagine last night I don't have an internet connection from 6PM till morning and tried to call them and no one could help me. No one is answering their help line. They should removed the hot line and tell their clients that if there are problems with the PLDT DSL connection, "just don't call and wait until it got fixed by itself!" I am really disappointed with this service and unfortunately I have no choice but to stay with this company because they almost (actually all) owned all the lines and source of the internet in the country.

They even bragging about their PLDT Watchpad where you could watch TV shows online which the first time that I could make use of it in the Pacquiao vs. Cotto fight and in my disappointment, it disconnected this morning saying I am offline and check my connection even the 2MBps PLDT connection Excite plan that I have is online. PLDT just don't care about their clients because they know that they don't have any competition at all. They knew that clients don't have any choice but to get their service just to have an internet service at their home. I never thought that this is really happening and how PLDT really sucks as other are saying online and even offline.

How can we have a better internet experience if the provider can't provide it? Even the government don't care about this internet instead they are more concern of their positions and don't make any law that will make a vast improvement in the internet connection of the country. What a life in PLDT DSL! If I just can have other internet connection other than this I will really discontinue this service. It really sucks!

Ah, I am already old enough and even think that this wish thing is for the children only. But still, I want to wish something and that is to overcome every single challenges that come to my life, from my career, family to my relationship with God. I believe that in every year that passes my life there's always meaning to it. It is not a count up for me but a count down of a better life ahead.

Now, after this birthday and gaining a year again, what will I do? This November got a lot of things to do in my list and here are they:

• I will try to conquer oes tsetnoc SEO competition or even got a 3rd place which will conclude by December (read about oes tsetnoc for more information about this event).
• Witness the upcoming fight of Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao on Firepower: Pacquiao vs. Cotto this November 14.
• Start my own business, manage it to make it as stable as it can be to help myself and other people make a living and extract the juices of the internet.
• Build more tips for blog readers specially money making scheme and search engine optimization.
• Join a rest and exercise program to help my body heal from the damages causes by different low or no sleep activities every night.
• Finish the programming project within 15 days after this post.
• Buy a brand new car or a second hand if the budget doesn't fit. I just want to have a new car but since I first renovated my house all the budget focuses on that and since I am almost done with it, my next target will be a car, a Honda or Hyundai small cars maybe.

There's a lot of things that I want to do this after today and I think the space on this blog would not be enough to accommodate this musings of a birthday guy so that will be all for now.

Apple recently released the new version of their phone called iPhone 3GS which supports video recording and faster processor. Millions already shift from this phone but still it is not yet available in the country. I try searching online to see if the said phone is already available but sadly the only provider in the Philippines that sells legally this phone - the Globe Telecommunications, is still does not sell the newest version. I check it on their website and there's nothing information about when will they sell this new phone.

I like that this iPhone 3GS be available in the country and I am just wondering if how much will this will cost in the country. My estimate is about 9K to 12K Philippine Peso based on the international pricing of the said touch phone which is it is only sold to $99.00 only. The $99 price doesn't not include the subscription fee of the user to the telecom network so the user needs to sign for two years lock in period to acquire the said phone.

Now the question, "When will Globe will bring iPhone 3GS in the Philippines?" is still yet to answer later.

Do you have a Samsung phone and you want to install Smart Uzzap on it? Well, yesterday I received the Samsung F480 (SGH F480) Touchwiz phone that I ordered from eBuyStore (read the story about my online purchase of Samsung F480). When I inserted my Smart SIM card on the phone, it automatically requested a MMS/Internet configuration file and then I later received a text message coming from Smart's 211 containing the whole configuration. I first then setup the Smart Uzzap on the phone. I usually use this program to communicate to my wife who is currently using Uzzap too. Here's what I did to install it to my new phone:

1. First, I make sure that I can access the internet on the phone by surfing some site.
2. Then, I go to the browser of the phone and go to http://uzzap.com/download.
3. It will automatically detects what phone you are using and what type of installation it will use to install the said chatting/SMS system.
4.For Samsung F480, it uses .JAR or Java installer. Since the phone is capable of executing programs written in Java, it is the type of installer that is downloaded by the phone.
5. Open the downloaded file then install it.
6. To open Uzzap's program, go to Menu->Application->Games and open Smart Uzzap.

That's right! Last Thursday, the Department of Health (DOH) in the Philippines announced the first ever case of swine flu A(H1N1 virus) case in the country and it was a girl from US who happened to have gone to Canada too, who brings the first record of the said infection. But don't panic, the girl and the people that is suspected to have a close contact on the person where quarantined and brought into careful observations so it can't spread yet. When I was younger and still studying, I really didn't dream of having my own car. I just want a simple life and commuting with the public utility vehicle ("jeepney") is fine with me. I admire beautiful cars and it really amaze me but I never think that I want to have one. In the first place, that time I don't think that I can afford to have one. I belong to a poor family and I was nurture by my parents to be contented on what we only have. This thinking of mine on simple living continues even after I graduated and landed on a job. But when I get married and got my first son, it seems that everything I think that I don't want seems to change. I started to look more than what I have, not for my sake but for my family.

I believe right now that if I will not desire for something like having my own car, I will never achieve it. I will not strive for it because I have no plans for it. It will be become more impossible if I will not think that I might have my own car in the future. That's why right now, I changed my mind setting, I want now a car that I can call mine. Currently, I own a Honda XRM motor bike and been using it for 4 years. I like the bike as my personal transportation in going to work and other places I want to, but it is not safe to use if I will bring along my family. Its too risky and health hazard. Since the ride during rain or shine doesn't have any protection, unlike with a car. I am targetting to have it in 4 years time or less.

I like the new small cars today like KIA Picanto, Honda Freed, Jazz or Civic or the Cherry. Any of those will do. :) How about you, do you want to have your own car?

Today, I participated a local chess competition here in Capiz called Ret. General Roberto T. Lastimoso "General Strategy" Chess Tournament and successfully got 4 points out of 5 games making me to get the 4th place. I did not attend our MSCS seminar in Iloilo City and preferred to play instead to this Capiz Chess Association, Inc. organized tournament. CCA is a chess organization in the province of Capiz which is the only organization to be affiliated with the national chess organization, NCFP (National Chess Federation of the Philippines).

I really missed playing and actually did not participate our last chess tournament last February 14 because I have my report on our MSCS in Iloilo that day so I am obliged to attend. Actually feel bad that I wasn't able to participate this test of wit and strong nerves. That's why today, I make sure that I will not miss this game despite the fact that I am not practicing and playing much chess lately because of my several hectic activities and as a blogger, I have several blogs to maintain. For your information, this chess tournament is a in exclusive tourney for Capiznon players who will be representing the province on regional chess tournaments. The competition aimed to find top 10 best players of Capiz and luckily got the 4th place.

I really like this tournament not because I won a place but because it given me a certain feeling of relaxation. I know it causes some sort of stress but as I said to a Capiznon friend, the game of chess seems to massage my brain cells making it to work much better. It's like oiling the different cells to move on its maximum capacity. Allowing me to formulate a lot of ideas. I will discuss in detail about this Capiznon chess event on my chess blog later. I am quite tired right now and my head really aches. Maybe because I have less sleep for several days already and I overuse my brain juices today with the said tournament. Needs to rest guys! :)
