Middle Age’s Season of the Witch

The Middle Ages is said to be the period in European History from the 5th up to the 15th century which followed the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476. During the 14th century, a homeland was devastated and infected by a Black Plague that frightened the whole community.

From the directorial expertise of Dominic Sena, Watch Season of the Witch the Movie, an upcoming fantasy drama film that is set during the Middle Age. The cast of the movie includes Nicolas Cage, Ron Perlman, Claire Foy, Stephen Campbell Moore, Robert Sheehan and Stephen Graham.

During the 14th century, a crusader named Knight Lavey (Nicolas Cage), together with his comrade Felson (Ron Perlman), returned home after decades of fierce battles to find their homeland being ravaged by a mysterious pestilence. Believing that sorcery is the reason of the plague, the fraught Church commands the two knights to transport an accused witch (Claire Foy) to an isolated monastery where monks will perform a ritual, hoping to stop the plague. Season of the Witch is scheduled for release on January 7, 2011. On their mission, the two brave knights were joined by a priest, a grieving knight, a disgraced itinerant and a headstrong youth who also dreams to become a knight. When the beleaguered party arrived at the abbey, a terrifying discovery puts in danger the knight’s pledge to ensure that the girl will have a fair treatment, pushing them into the deep pit against an inexplicably powerful and destructive force.
